Free 2D Animation Software in 2021 ( For Beginner )

Free Animation Softwares in 2021 for Beginner:-

There are many such animation or cartoon channel and page on YouTube and Facebook whose videos have millions of views. If you are also inspired by those channel or pages and start create your own channel or page. You will need professional software to make animational video.

If you do not have the budget to buy the software. So, which I am going to tell you some free animation softwares. If you want free professional animation software.

Free 2D Animation Software in 2021 ( For Beginner )

1) OpenToonz

This is some professional software. OpenToonz is an open-source version of the paid software called Toonz, and the paid version has been used for many major productions throughout the years.

It has all the features you could want. It has it all: dynamic palettes, tweening, and actually good vector and bitmap tools. This is the best software for both novice and advanced animators.

It’s quite easy to use, once you know the basics, but can be pushed pretty far, in terms of its feature-set. It helps that Toonz, the paid version, is almost identical, and is feature-film ready. And those are my recommendations for 2D animation software for free!

I make a bouncy ball animation because any major software issues become apparent once you produce something quickly and efficiently.

 2)  Plastic Animation Paper

This software is no longer supported, but the creators were kind enough to make a free version available to everyone!

And, if you can ignore the less than stellar interface, it’s great for animation. Using this software, it’s easy to get stuff done. However, because there is no animation tweening, this is a more traditional workflow.

It’s fairly basic but is good for beginners. However, temper your expectations. Although this is perfect for doing rough animation, it has no colour options.

My recommendation is to use this for rough animation and line work, then to import that into another piece of software, such as Krita, and colour it from there. If you want something that is just simple, this is it.

3) Pencil2D

I didn’t used to like Pencil2D, and whilst it’s still not my favorite animation software, it’s grown quite a bit since I last looked at it.

The interface is more modern than the previous entry, and the entire software has more features. Colouring options, for instance, are here. With this, you can get some good results. There is, however, a lack of tweening, as with the previous entry.

So, again, this is again for more traditional animation. That said, it's quite adaptable, and once I figured out the keyboard shortcuts, making this bouncy ball animation was a breeze.
